If there is no room for a full set — especially no headroom — there is nothing for it but to buy smaller pieces. You can save on the boiling flask, taking a 6-litre one instead of a 10-litre, and a shorter column with it.

Whether that makes sense is something everyone has to judge for themselves. The yield from a smaller flask is unlikely to be more than a litre of 50% spirit per run.
